Play Companion LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates a mobile application and BLE-enabled hardware product (the “App” and “Hardware”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in a transparent and secure manner.

We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising purposes.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate and provide our services:

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Name

Email address

Username

We use Supabase to securely store and manage authentication and user data.

2.2 Payment Information

When you purchase Hardware or use pay-per-play services, payment data is processed by Stripe.

We do not store or have access to full credit card information.

2.3 Game Data and Statistics

We collect gameplay-related data, including:

Match history

Scores

Play frequency

This data is required for core App functionality and multiplayer history consistency.

2.4 Device and Diagnostic Data

We may collect limited diagnostic data required to ensure proper BLE Hardware operation and connectivity.

3. BLE Hardware Data Usage

Our BLE system is strictly limited to active gameplay functionality.

We do not collect location data

We do not perform passive Bluetooth tracking

BLE communication occurs only during active App usage

4. How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

Create and manage user accounts

Process payments

Operate gameplay scoring and match history

Provide customer support

Send essential service communications (e.g., receipts, updates, security notices)

We do not engage in advertising-based profiling.

5. DUPR Integration

Users may optionally connect their DUPR account.

When enabled:

The user explicitly links their DUPR account within the App

We access DUPR ID and rating via approved API integration under our agreement with DUPR

Match data is transmitted only when explicitly authorized by the user

No DUPR data is accessed or shared without user action.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with essential service providers:

Stripe — payment processing

Supabase — authentication and backend storage

DUPR — optional user-authorized integration

Legal authorities — where required by law

We do not sell or rent personal data.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services.

After account deletion:

Data is retained only for limited periods required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and system integrity

After this period, data is permanently deleted

8. Account Deletion

If a user deletes their account:

Login access is permanently disabled

Payment and DUPR-linked data are removed

Match history remains stored and displayed as “Deleted User”

This is required because match history is shared among multiple users and must remain consistent across the system.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

9. Cookies, Local Storage, and Tokens

We use:

authentication and service tokens

These are used for:

login sessions

payment flows

DUPR authentication

core application functionality

Users may disable cookies, but some features may not function correctly.

10. International Data Transfers

We operate globally and may make the App available in multiple jurisdictions.

Data may be processed in:

other countries where our service providers operate

These jurisdictions may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

11. Age and Payment Restrictions

Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must have a parent or legal guardian create the account and manage all payment features. Payment processing is subject to third-party compliance policies (including Stripe), which require the account holder to be 18 years of age or older.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including California under CCPA/CalOPPA), you may:

13. Data Security

We implement reasonable and industry-standard security measures, including the use of trusted providers such as Supabase and Stripe.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
